THANKSGIVING

it was my year this year for thanksgiving. i really wanted to fit all my family in, which is a tricky if you know much about my family(: we started off thanksgiving by driving to raftriver to the tegans for our first thanksgiving dinner. it's always so fun visiting my grandparents and being able to see all my aunts, uncles, and cousins. and as usual my grandma had such lots of good food and fun activities planned for all the grandkids. after we finished up dinner at the tegans we hopped in the car and headed to burley to my dad's house. they also had a massive feast ready for us! my aunt soni and her family showed up around the time we did. it was so fun all being together. we all woke up in the morning and headed to utah. all the smith's met at madoxx and had lunch. delicious! then we were off to salt lake. we did some shopping and of course decided to hit up temple square on the busiest night ever!!! i've never seen so many people there before. don't go the first night the lights are turned on. lol. the best part about it though was that it was super, duper warm. most of us didn't even need our coats on. that was nice. the next morning rhett and i took the kids to the discovery museum and my mom met us there. the kids loved it and still haven't quite talking about it. it was a pretty fun day. we spent one last night in salt lake at my moms house and then headed home sunday. it was the funnest, busiest thanksgiving weekend. i was pretty happy and proud that i was able to see most of my family that weekend.

riggins 'big rig' party and birthday

Riggins first birthday was a bitter/sweet one. i always struggle with my little ones growing up. it just seems to be going by faster and faster. the more you enjoy life the faster it goes by i think. anyway, riggins is one lucky boy. he had lots of people travel long distances to come celebrate. my dad, renee, and coop came from burley. my mom, sacia from salt lake. brik, dustin, and drake from logan. (and the englesteads from across our backyards, haha) i know driving sucks, so i was touched that they all came for riggs party. especially since it had been snowy. can you believe how cute riggs one year old pictures came out? thanks so much for taking them toni!!! i love them sooo much. i'll treasure them forever. good thing riggins birthday party was a fun success because the next day on his actual birthday the poor boy ended up being sick and miserable with a high fever. the poor boy. but lucky me got to spend the next two days just loving and cuddling him. i sure love this little guy. i can't picture our life or our family without him. i feel so blessed to be his mom. riggins little personality is really starting to shine through and it is so fun getting to know him and see him develop. right before riggs turned one he went from being a mamas boy to instantly turning into a daddy's boy. did you hear my heart just break? because it did. all three of my kids have done that once they turned one. i was kind of hoping since riggins was a boy that wouldn't happen and he would just stay a mama's boy. nope. didn't happen. he still loves me, but dad is the cool one. haha. oh well. i should just be grateful my kids have such an awesome dad right?! At one years old Riggins is still crawling. he will stand for a second but really has no interest in walking. he loves reading books and loves to play with balls and trucks. what a fun little boy we have. NOVEMBER

i love the months of oct, nov, and dec just for the hustle and bustle and the holidays. they are my favorite. this november we got our first skiff of snow. we built a tent in the front room for a sister sleepover. we headed to boise to hang out with the awesome eaton's and mama and papa warren. sadly though, we also had lots of sickness this month. the coughs were so bad i spent lots of sleepless nights holding nebulizers up to my kiddos faces. it's always heartbreaking (and tiring) when the littles are sick.
