Sleeping

Oh my heck can I just say that getting my wisdom teeth out has been the most painful thing I have ever experienced. I swear it tops all my surgeries and births. If it weren't for the dry sockets I know I would be good as new by now. When does this pain ever go away??? I am the grumpiest mom on the planet right now ): I am just hoping that I feel better by Christmas.

I have been looking through all my photos the last couple days and I have found all these funny pictures of the girls (mostly Brylee) sleeping.
Most days I will put Bry down for a nap upstairs and she will get out and play for a bit then fall asleep when she is ready. Lately I have been finding her in other places besides her room when she finally zonks. This girl is the LIGHTEST sleeper and pickiest sleeper so I am still always surprised when I find her asleep somewhere else.

This is her asleep in my room on my bed. I had no idea she was there until I went in my room to grab something.

This is her asleep in her doorway. I couldn't even open the door all the way. I guess she fell asleep playing.

Since the day Brylee was born she has hAteD the car! Tacey is a joy in the car. We drove from Nashville to Burley without stopping and never heard a sound from her. So having a baby that didn't like the car was totally new to us. She is almost two and has gotten better but still it is not her favorite. If she ever sleeps in the car it is a definite treat. Too bad it only happens when we are just pulling up to the house. haha.

Tacey still sleeps like a baby in the car. LOVE IT!
Every time they both fall asleep in the car they ALWAYS have their head tilted the same way. It's so weird!

This is Brylee randomly sleeping on the living room floor. This has happened quite a bit in the last couple months.

This was the girls watching cartoons one morning. I walked in and Tacey was rubbing Brylee's head. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen. I guess Tacey soothed Bry right to sleep.

Tacey is four and half and quite napping over a year ago. So this does not happen very often. But this is Tacey sleeping on the living room floor a couple weeks ago.

The girls were watching a movie in my room. Brylee went and grabbed her pillow and blanket from her room brought it into my room and just fell asleep.

And then the other night while I was making dinner she was so darn grumpy I was going crazy. So I swaddled her up in her blanky and told her to close her eyes and I left the room to finish dinner. When I came back I found a sleeping Brylee still swaddled up.
She cracks me up.

The next few are from Tacey last year. They still make me laugh so I had to put them on here again. She is hanging off the couch in all three of those pictures.
That girl is the BEST sleeper ever. You could probably dump cold water on the girl and she would have no idea.

And then here is the famous sleeping on a table picture. This was just recently. Rhett and I put the girls down to bed and went downstairs to watch some tv. We could hear some loud noises upstairs but just decided we would get after her when we went up to bed. Well when we finally got up to go to bed we went to check on Tacey and this is what we found. This is her table on her bed upside down.
The next morning she woke up and took the legs off the table. She is the silliest girl I know. I love that I am never bored. They are always making me laugh.

I sure do love these girls. I love that they play hard and for the most part sleep hard. They are amazing and make me so happy. I am so blessed.

Some Random Thoughts

I love this time of year. Everything about Christmas puts me in a great mood. The music, the lights, the tree, the focus on Christ. It really is a magical time of year. This year has been even funner than usual for us  because of the girls. Tacey is so happy and excited every single day for Christmas. And if Tacey is excited about something then Brylee is too. We had a blast decorating the house for Christmas.

First thing Tacey does in the morning is run downstairs and plug in the lights.
And then she goes hunting for Timmy.
Timmy is our elf(:
Can you see him in the tree? He is at the very top.
Timmy has done a great job at keeping our girls in line. They are VERY aware of him.
Thanks Mama and Papa Warren for the great gift!
There he is again up in chandelier. This pic was taken with my phone if you couldn't tell.

On a completely different note I have some whining to do. About a month ago I woke up with the inside of my cheek super swollen. It drove me crazy and it took forever to heal because I kept biting it because it was so swollen. It stayed like that for about two or three weeks. Then last week the swelling went down and I realized there was a HuGE hole in my gum back by my last molar. It was really sore too. I seriously thought I had some nasty gum disease or something. (I promise I have good dental hygiene) Anyways, I finally went to the dentist and it turns out it was just my wisdom tooth trying to break through. I have known forever that they needed to come out I have just been too chicken (and poor) to do it. I called about six different doctors to get prices. I really wanted to get sedated because I HATE dental work! But it costs soo dang much. I finally settled on a great guy here in town that Rhett had actually interned with. He doesn't do sedation but he does do the gas for FREE!
So yesterday I went in and had the blasted things taken out. I was so freakin scared. I wasn't even this scared when I got my gall bladder taken out. Rhett was able to go with me and watch, which was nice. Luckily I only have two wisdom teeth and it really didn't even take that long. But DANG that was a rough procedure. I am surprised my jaw is still attached. I completely understand why they put people to sleep for that. Listening to Pandora and the nitrous made it a bit better BUT I am so glad I never have to do it again!
I am in a good amount of pain right now. On top of the normal wisdom teeth pain I have had an awful migraine that I can't get rid of. I feel like such a baby.
I also look kinda goofy right now because only one side of my face is swollen. haha. Cracks me up every time I look in the mirror.
My dentist told me tea bags help the blood clot. So instead of gauze I put tea bags there instead. Peppermint tea bags are the BEST! They feel soo good, and taste good too. It also helps relieve pain if you have a toothache. Just an FYI!
But things are looking up as of right now. I am on an awesome diet of KFC mashed potatoes and I just finished off a Wendy's frosty! YUM. Rhett is doing a great job of taking care of me. His boss is amazing and let Rhett take a couple days off so he could stay home and be with me.
Well, sorry to go off on a such a rant. It just seems to be the only thing on my mind right now.

I do have a HaPPy thing to write about though! Rhett and I decided not do gifts for each other this year but that we would do one big family gift.
This is what we chose!!!
AN IMAC!!!

Holy Cow, I am soo in love. This thing is so amazing!
Believe me, this computer is long overdue. We have been needing a new computer for YEARS.
All I can say is once you go MAC you never go back. It is so much easier to use. I am completely dumb when it comes to using technology so it is very refreshing to have a computer that is so simple to use. LOVE IT! I could seriously go on and on about it. One of my favorite parts about it is being able to download pictures off my camera in about 2 seconds.
Tacey is better at running this computer than I am. We initially had a rule that the kids were not allowed to play on it but honestly I am not that worried about it anymore.

Tacey took this picture all by herself this morning. They are the cutest girls even with bedhead(:

If anyone has any good tips on recovering from wisdom teeth extractions I would love to hear them!

Sunday

Thanksgiving

Wow, I am late posting this. Oh well.
For family home evening one night we made a thankful tree. The girls loved it. I think we will be making this a tradition every year. I got the idea off a blog that I absolutely love. Our plan was to add a few more leaves daily but we just didn't get around to it. I think it was a really good project to help us all remember what we are thankful for.
Do you see the piece of popcorn glued to the tree?? We had daddy's homemade popcorn that night. We sang popcorn popping on the apricot tree the whole time.

We spent Thanksgiving this year with the Warren's. We had so much fun. And since we are spending Christmas with my side of the family we celebrated Christmas early with Mama and Papa Warren.
Here are a few highlights of the trip.

This is Brybry and I waiting in the pickup while daddy had to do some work in Boise.

We opened presents the day after Thanksgiving.
Thanks for all the great gifts Mama and Papa Warren!

Tacey did lots and lots and lots of dress up. I don't even know if Tacey wore normal clothes the whole time we were there.

And this is a picture of the girls after we got home(: Daddy made the girls pancakes. Their favorite!

Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!!
We are loving the Holidays and have a countdown for Christmas!
