Friday

birthday season

from april 15 to may 12 we have 3 birthdays and mothers day! it's crazy and fun every year.
rhett's birthday starts us off.

 33 this year!

papa warren was in town and able to celebrate with us.

 sad/cute/frustrating
riggs threw a fit because he couldn't have birthday cake until he had a couple bites of dinner.

that weekend i took rhett out on a date for his birthday.

 opeing presents!

tacey's birthday was next! she's 9 this year!! NINE!
she was able to invite her best friend and was able to choose somewhere to eat and an activity. she chose mcdonalds and ijump.

opening presents on birthday morning!

then we were off to their only dance competition of the year. funny it ended up on her birthday but luckily tacey didn't mind at all.

my mom drove up from salt lake and my dad and jaxyn came from burley that day.

next up was my birthday and mothers day.
rhett surprised me a few days before my birthday with a little party! it was the best surprise ever. and now that i think about it, i'm pretty sure that is my first surprise party i've ever had! we went to one of my favorite places to eat and a few of my most favorite friends showed up.  it was such a fun, fun night!
and i'm glad it was such an awesome night because DANG, it has been a HARD week!!
after getting home from dinner and taking the babysitter home we realized poor riggies had thrown up in his crib. we were hoping it was a fluke thing but the next morning (mothers day) brylee started throwing up too. i seriously hate dealing with puke.  it stresses me out.  i guess i should just be grateful rhett was home to help!!

my birthday rolled around thursday. rhett and the girls woke me up breakfast in bed!

tacey had a super fun day planned out for us.

and then the poor girl got the dang stomach bug.

tacey actually wasn't sick for too long. by the end of the day she was feeling a million times better. rhett brought me home some tacos from my favorite mexican place and an amazing cake.  not to mention the weather was perfect and we played outside for a bit.

i keep joking that i want a mothers day/birthday do over! although i'm actually super grateful i get to be the mom to these precious kiddos. but no more puke...k!

Thursday

great to be eight

so clear back the end of april tacey turned 8 and then baptized just a few days later! tacey is amazing.  i honestly wanted her to make up her on mind on getting baptized and becoming a member of the church.  rhett and i have had quite a few deep discussions with her about it.  i'm so proud and kind of ashamed to say that my little 8 year old knows so much more about the church than i do.  it's incredible.  i'm so proud tacey made the choice to get baptized.

warning: my pictures downloaded weird and are out of order.

i took tacey dress shopping for the perfect baptism dress.  we even took a vote over the phone with my mom and sisters.  they were all so dang cute it was hard to choose just one!

toni is amazing and took tacey's pictures for us.  i'm so happy with how they turned out.

 tacey's cake

we had so many people travel to come support tacey.  i'm so grateful for all our amazing family.

the two 8 year olds; brenner and tacey

tacey woke up to her first american doll on her birthday.  she has literally been asking for years.   she was so happy and excited to finally have one!

we've made it into a tradition to go visit the birthday girl at school on her birthday.  rhett was even able to make it this year.

on our way into the church for the baptism. i need to get pictures from the rest of the family from the baptism, this is all i took!

 papa warren and my mom

brik and dustin

what a fun special day that was.

Monday

sleeping/talking riggins

i live in a house full of sleep walkers and talkers.  i've always been curious if babies talk in their sleep even though they have a limited vocab.  well the other night as i was watching my sweet baby sleep he suddenly started saying 'paw-paw.' which in riggins language translates into puppy, or actually any animal he sees.  it was seriously the cutest thing i have ever heard.  only wish i could see what he was dreaming...
sleeping children are the BEST.
