i am not going to lie, i had an awful, awful week leading up to easter. lots of stress coming at me from every corner along with some scary news from back home. i have not been doing real great. i have really let the stress get to me a lot more than i normally would. that makes for a very emotional mama. luckily i have an amazing husband and girls that i can lean on.
after a long, hard week rhett came and got the girls and i on saturday afternoon after work and took us all out. we got to spend time as a family and it really helped me feel so much better. i can't even start to tell you how blessed i am to have him as my husband.
rhett and i actually got kind of excited for Easter this year. we don't normally do much but this year we decided we wanted to. we started all sorts of fun family traditions. it was soo much fun. we hid their baskets and they had to follow string to get to them. our house looked awesome the night before. wish i would have taken some pictures.
this is the aftermath! i am still finding grass everywhere! (:
here are the girls in their Easter dress getting ready for church.
i had heard a ton about these resurrection rolls. i thought that they were such a great idea! what a fun way to teach your kids about the resurrection. we didn't get to them yesterday so i decided to do it with the girls this morning.
they are so yummy.
the "empty" tomb
tacey thought these were so cool. she ended up telling me all about the resurrection and how Jesus got his body again. i love it.
we will be doing these again next year!
what an awesome Easter we had! i am so glad.
Happy Easter!
