JUNE

June was such a fun month.  We all love summer over here.  Rhett 'slows down' at work (not really, but he likes to think so) so we are able to load up and do a little more together as a family.

For Christmas my dad bought us this chiminea.  My dad makes some amazing steaks on his.  We mostly just do smores on it, haha.  One day we will master the steaks on that thing.

My little sis Sacia graduated high school so we headed to SLC for her graduation.

My sister Brik and I

 Sacia with her nieces

My mom has a pool where she lives so we called aunt kk and had her meet us.  It was the perfect warm day for swimming.  This is the day we found out Riggs likes water, even when it is COLD!

 Gotta love Scheels

Rhett was out of town for work.  To keep myself sane I started a project I had been wanting to do for years.  I painted my china hutch that belonged to my mom(Tracy).  It was a fun/scary project.  It is way easier painting furniture that you don't feel sentimental towards IMO.

Morning snuggles

YIKES! Turns out Riggins grew up without me knowing about it! I walked into his room to get him from his nap and this is how I found him! No worries, I know now to buckle that boy up!

So many cute friends

we like to wear these kiddos out.
(don't judge Riggs for all the pictures of him in pink carseasts.  We use them as backups!) poor boy.

he learned to stand by himself!

sleepover in the basement....in a tent.

Father's Day.  We sure love this guy.

haha. again with the pink carseat.  at least he looks cool in his shades.

ice caves! Rhett was being a sweet dad keeping Riggins warm.

Tacey loved the ice caves, Brylee hated them.

 sand dunes

if you look closely you can see bees on Riggins' face and head! You can't tell in the picture but he was seriously swarmed by bees.  I was freaking out!! He did not get one bee sting.  I am never, ever going back to that spot at the dunes.

yeah, i'm cool. bahaha.  I was so proud the little bit of air I got.

tired and filthy

boating with our most favorite neighbors ever. this was probably one of my favorite days. the weather was perfect, our kids had a blast, and the adults probably had even more fun. we sure love the englesteads.

 she makes me so happy.

he thinks he is so big.

handstand competition

look at my boy sitting up like a big kid playing with toys! he's growing up too fast!!

Rhett really is awesome.

The girls did a bike race.  They didn't race each other because of age. They both surprised us in different ways.
Bry actually did pretty dang well for being the youngest there and the youngest without training wheels.  She didn't get first but she was no where near getting last.

Tacey who is normally so brave and ready to do anything kind of freaked out.  I was not expecting that.  I finally talked to her into racing (i may have bribed her with a cupcake).  Slow and steady does not always win the race, haha.  But SHE FINISHED! And by the end she was so dang proud of herself.

Later that day we headed up to Driggs for the Huntsmans firework show with my dad and family.  We had a blast as always there.

June was awesome.

Monday

4th of july

we have had one crazy, fun week! we have been to Driggs, Island Park, and Burley within the last week and it has been such a blast.

last Saturday (june 30) we headed up to Island Park to hang out with some family for a few hours! the girls always love hanging out with their cousins!

after island park instead of driving home we decided to drive to driggs and watch the firework show there. I am soo glad we did. it was so much fun and seriously some of the best fireworks i have ever seen. pretty sure we will be going there every year from now on. and i love that they did it on saturday!
the girls got their faces painted!

we met out friends rhett and whitney there.
our girls had so much fun together(:

there was a live band before the fireworks and the girls danced their little hearts out! i wish i had a video of it. those girls know how to dance!

they were filthy by the end of the night! that is NOT a tan line....it's dirt(:

on tuesday we headed to burley. all my family comes to town for the 4th. it is one of my very favorite holidays because we are all together!

 at the parade

this is my baby brother aka "uncle baby"

later that  night we had fireworks in the backyard at grandpa's house down by the river. we were able to see a TON of fireworks that night. the city put on a pretty good show and so did my dad and all the neighbors.

bry was like usual ALWAYS on grandpa's lap! she sure loves that man.

 look at that sunset!!!
the boys may have gotten in a bottle rocket war/fight. rhett has some nice battle wounds....

watch out tazer has a sparkler!!

we did some laying out and a little bit of boating.

i can't count how many times we found rhett riding this little bike. haha.

i love this girl. shay come live in idaho please!!

rhett babysat while dad, renee, and i went to the gym. he gave the kids a bath and a photo shoot! i love this picture!!

i had such a great time in burley. i have been with my entire family since Christmas so it was so nice to be with everyone. i cherished every minute of it! and i was able to fit all my favorite things in this week. Maxi's Pizza, Taco Bandito, laying out by the river, and going for a few runs.
