Some Spring Cleanin'

My kids have been sick for over a week now and I am feeling a little cooped up! I'm going crazy. The bright side is I have had some time to do some of my projects I have been wanting to do off pinterest.
My project today was a complete success! Ever since we moved into our house it has been driving me nuts how some of grout was dirty. I have tried a few things to try and it get it lookin good again but always failed. and then I saw this thing on pinterest on how to clean your grout with baking soda and bleach! Guess what, It works!!! I spent 2 hours today scrubbing every bit of grout we have in our house and it looks amazing!
if you want to check out the website i found it here.

I also cleaned out a few stains out of carpet today. I used one part dawn dish soap and two parts peroxide. it's like magic i tell ya, for reals. tacey had decided to paint her fingernails with bright pink nail polish in her  playroom. only a small part of that polish made it onto her fingernails, the rest ended up on the carpet. anyways, i was able to get the stains out with the peroxide and soap. I LOVE PINTEREST!

Friday

My Favorites

I remember clear back when (before kids) my house used to be soo clean, I was so OCD about everything! Haha, that is not how things are anymore! I feel like I am seriously having the hardest time keeping my house clean and straightened. Does this happen to anyone else, or is it just me? Even little Brylee is such A MESS. haha.
Seems like every now and then my house gets to the point that I am so overwhelmed I don't even know where to start. And then I get super discouraged. So, one of my BIGGEST New Years goals was to always keep my house manageable. It doesn't have to be perfect all the time, but so I don't ever get overwhelmed like that again, that is the Worst Feeling Ever! I have to say that for the most part I have been doing pretty good. I am a bit more of a nag now though, haha.
I do have a few favorite cleaning tools though. I have bought all these within the last year and they make cleaning so much easier and not as painful!

My swiffer sweep-vac. Our house is all hardwood on the bottom floor, so this is soo nice to have. It doesn't pick up any big things, but it is still one of the best inventions ever.

I seriously dislike cleaning the toilet, so these are A-MAZ-ING. I love anything that you can clean with and then dispose of.
This is my FAVORITE! Rhett and I got this Shark Steam Mop on black friday. It was totally worth the 3 hour wait in line. I honestly use this baby every single day. LOVE IT!

I don't know if I am just like a freak or what, but I have to wash the dishes with gloves on. I get made fun of all the time, but seriously that is the only way my dishes get done. I have a really hard time washing off soggy food with my bare hands for some reason. But with gloves on I don't even bat an eye. But I used to go through a new pair of gloves every week because they would tear! It would make me soo mad. But then I found these puppies. They are just a little bit padded and haven't ripped yet!

Anyone else have some easy cleaning tips!?!
