KINDERGARTEN!

I have a ton to blog about because we have had one of the busiest months ever. But right now i just want to blog about Tacey starting school! I cannot believe my girl is 5 and going to kindergarten. Those five years sure flew by fast. 

She has LOVED school. It has only been a week, but I have seen a real difference in her attitude. She has been kind of a stinker for the past couple months. I knew it was because she just needed to start school. She has been soo ready for this for a while now. I would have been a lot more sad about her starting school, but it is hard to be so sad when she is so happy.

The night before school started we went to the park for the back to school night event. 

I wanted to Tacey in bed by 8 so she would be well rested and ready to go for school in the morning. But we didn't even get home from the even until after 8. Rhett decided to check the mail box since we had been gone for over a week and it turns out Tacey had some homework she was supposed to have done before school started. Oh man. I felt like the worst mom ever! So Tacey stayed up another hour putting together her paper doll. We made a mess!

It doesn't look like much it took her some work. That is a dress made out of felt with rhinestones glued onto it.

Tacey doing some homework. We spent a good hour doing a few pages of homework last night too that she had for over the weekend. I really think she prefers learning from her teacher more than she does me. She kept telling me "mom, you are driving me crazy!" haha. good think i never finished college to be an elementary teacher. it's obviously not my calling.

Brylee sure misses her sister during the morning. Brylee now HATES going to the gym daycare because Tacey isn't there with her. I honestly never thought that was going to be a problem. I feel guilty every time I drop her off to workout now. ): Luckily Bry starts preschool in a few weeks so hopefully that will help! 

I am so proud of my Tacey. She is such an amazing little girl! It is so fun to see her so happy and excited about school. 

4th of july

we have had one crazy, fun week! we have been to Driggs, Island Park, and Burley within the last week and it has been such a blast.

last Saturday (june 30) we headed up to Island Park to hang out with some family for a few hours! the girls always love hanging out with their cousins!

after island park instead of driving home we decided to drive to driggs and watch the firework show there. I am soo glad we did. it was so much fun and seriously some of the best fireworks i have ever seen. pretty sure we will be going there every year from now on. and i love that they did it on saturday!

on tuesday we headed to burley. all my family comes to town for the 4th. it is one of my very favorite holidays because we are all together!

later that  night we had fireworks in the backyard at grandpa's house down by the river. we were able to see a TON of fireworks that night. the city put on a pretty good show and so did my dad and all the neighbors. 

bry was like usual ALWAYS on grandpa's lap! she sure loves that man.

rhett babysat while dad, renee, and i went to the gym. he gave the kids a bath and a photo shoot! i love this picture!! 

i had such a great time in burley. i have been with my entire family since Christmas so it was so nice to be with everyone. i cherished every minute of it! and i was able to fit all my favorite things in this week. Maxi's Pizza, Taco Bandito, laying out by the river, and going for a few runs. 

Dance Recital

So, Tazerbug had a dance recital last month. It was so fun and so dang cute. I can't even tell you what how proud I was. She is such a joy to watch. And this girl LOVES to be on stage!

Here's a video of the dance. They are little piggies in case you couldn't tell(: If ya watch closely you can see her turning her head to look at her little tail shake, haha. it's a long dance so if ya get bored i understand, but for reals the ending is the cutest part! 

Summer!

I am so behind! We have had such a fun summer so far. I am loving it! We have been keeping ourselves super busy and have been enjoying this nice weather. This has seriously been the funnest summer I have had in a long time. Too bad I have forgotten how to take pictures. So most of these pictures are stolen from Rhett and my good friends Whitney Ricks and Whitney Kennedy! Hope ya guys don't mind!

So here are just a few things we have done in the past month.

We went dress shopping with kaykay! This isn't the dress she ended up getting but she looks gorgeous in this picture! She is getting married at the end of the summer!! 

The girls have been fishing a couple of times with their daddy.

 I seriously can't believe how homeless they look in this picture but I had to post it cause they had so much fun. I went to the gym one morning and came home to my family being gone. I didn't hear from them a for a few hours. I guess rhett woke up and decided to take the girls fishing. haha. I told him he needs to leave me a note or something next time though!! 

This was another time tacey went fishing. Braizley and Tacey got to go together with their dads. They did NOT want to touch the fish. 

Braizley turned 3 earlier this week and had a princess party! So they girls got to dress up in their princess clothes. it was so cute!

We have also been to Beaver Dick park a few times to BBQ with Rhett and Whitney and their cute kids. That has been one of my favorite things to do. It's an easy dinner, easy clean up, and all the kids love it there.

The kids LOVE to swim. They would do it all day everyday if I let them. So we have been going to Rexburg Rapids, Splash Park, and Rigby Lake. That's why I love summer! There are so many fun things to do with your kids during the summer.

We are so happy the Kennedy's moved back here!!

5 years old!!!

My Tazerbug turned 5 on Monday. How crazy is that!!?? It freaks me out how quickly time has passed. I can't believe what a beautiful, wonderful little girl she is. Tacey is so AmAzIng!! I am so lucky to be her mom. 

Tacey has had a countdown for her birthday since Christmas. She could not wait to turn 5! It seriously feels like such a big milestone. She is all signed up for kindergarten in the fall. 

I wanted to make Tacey feel so special on her special day but I wasn't up for throwing a huge party again this year. Plus Rhett and I decided we were only going to do friend parties every other year. So the night before Rhett and I spent a good 30 minutes blowing up about 30 or so balloons and we decorated the house a bit for her. She was so excited when she came downstairs. 

On Sunday my mom and sisters drove up. It was so much fun. We always have so much fun when they come!

i think tacey had a great day! she is still hyper and happy from the big day, it has been all she can talk about. i am soo glad she had a great birthday. it was a big deal to her. i am so grateful for all the wonderful people in our lives that helped make her feel special and loved(: 

i love this girl soo dang much it physically hurts. i could seriously just hug and kiss her all day long. she has been such a blessing in our lives since the moment i found out i was pregnant with her. she has the sweetest, kindest spirit. i am so grateful for what an amazing example she is to us. she makes us laugh and smile every single day.
