Monday

bryrbry's faith

last weekend tacey and riggins came down with a fever right after we went swimming.  riggs slept his fever off tacey just seemed to get sicker.  she said her head and throat hurt and she had some nausea.  it was no fun and lasted about 2 days.

this weekend right when we got home from burley bry and riggs both had super high fevers and were complaining about all the same things tacey was earlier.  although i was grateful we were home while the girls were sick i was also super bummed because rhett had to leave me for a couple of days to take the scouts out on a camp trip.  it has honestly been the longest few days! a few of my friends and family had had whatever this little bug is and it lasted 2 days for all of them.  and it did only last 2 days for riggs and tacey.  but poor brylee.  anytime this little one gets sick it hits her so hard.  she was by far the sickest.  by the third day of her not eating or drinking i was starting to panic a little thinking i was going to need to take her in to the hospital to get rehydrated.  she had been so weak we would have to help her sit up or carry her. luckily, her daddy came to the rescue last night and gave her a blessing.  which is the whole reason i am writing this post.  i want bry to look back and remember what a gift her dad's blessing have been to her.  lots of neat things were promised to her that i will need to put in her personal journal later, but she was also promised she would heal and feel better.

this morning bry came bouncing up the stairs and said, 'my blessing worked!' and then she ate a nice big bowl of cereal.

i just felt the need to write about my brybry and say how proud i am of her and her faith.  and also how tough she is.  this girl is a rockstar.

tomorrow is a school night so today kind of officially feels like our last day of summer.  the whole time the kids were sick we were cooped up in the house recovering and the weather was beautiful and amazing.  today it is super windy and kind of chilly actually.  haha, go figure.  that isn't stopping the kids right now though.  they are out on an 'adventure' in the backyard (wearing jackets) with books, blankets, and snacks.  after the week we just had i can't even tell you how happy i am to see my kids eating and full of energy!!!

Thursday

Easter Egg Hunt

a couple days ago the girls and I went to an egg hunt at the gym.
it was pure chaos.
they had prizes in the plastic eggs so i told the girls to GO FOR THE EGGS!
they both returned to me with no plastic eggs and a basket full of chocolate candy.
haha.

they also had tons of other activities going on.
i had planned on hitting them all but that didn't work out.
we stood in line for an hour for a balloon animal.....that popped 20 minutes later.
haha.
the girls really did have a blast,
i was exhausted by the end and kind of regretted going but then when we got home Tacey said "Mom that was the BEST Easter egg hunt EVER!!"
so i guess it was worth it.
but next time i am taking rhett for help(:

Monday

fun week followed by sick baby..

My poor Brybry just can't catch a dang break. Every time she gets some chub back on her she gets sick again. I just got back from the DR and Bry has RSV. ): Rhett and Tacey are out of town right now so it is kind of nice cause I get this sweet one all to myself. I did have a lot of fun plans for us like going to the movie, park, and out to dinner but cuddlin on the couch with my little munchkin has been nice and will do just fine. We have got her on some steroids, antibiotics, motrin, and the good ole nebulizer. So hopefully she will be good as new in no time.

My good friend Whit and I kept ourselves busy last week! I think we are ready for summer.

Whit did these amazing lash extensions for me. I LOVE them. cause even on a day like today where i am exhausted and have been up all night with a sick baby i still feel like i look good.

aren't they so pretty!!

you can tell i have had a long day when i am wearing my sweatshirt and hat....
and my eyes are bloodshot.
maybe i will retake these pictures on a better day. haha.

we also took our kids to ijump TWICE last week. we had to go back again so our hubbies could give it a try. i seriously think us parents have more fun than the kids.
both my girls think Braizley is the best thing EVER. Not a day goes by that Braiz doesn't get brought up.
BEST FRIENDS(:

it's really hard to get a clear picture...

Braiz and Tace playin in the pit.

then whit and i had a girls night friday night.
we went to the hunger games.
i think i am getting old, cause i was soo proud of myself for staying awake past midnight.
the movie was great!
i loved it.
i seriously thought they did such a good job at following the book.
now i think i will have to reread it.

I wish every week were that fun. (:

Tuesday

BIG GIRL!

Brylee has officially thrown out her wawa's! (aka binkys)
Rhett actually gets the credit for this one. If I would of had it my way she probably would have gone off to college with that thing (kidding). But seriously I am a pushover for that girl. The wawas made her happy.
I thought it was going to be this horrible, terrible, traumatizing event.
It wasn't.
Basically we told her if she threw her wawa in the garbage she would be a BIG GIRL.
So she walked over to the garbage and it was over.
I am so happy, but kinda sad too. She is getting SOO BIG!

So next on the list Potty Training.
This one is not as easy.
I am so not motivated to do this quite yet, but Bry is bound and determined to be a Big Gril.
SO here we go.
Wish us Luck.

Monday

Brylee does this several times a day and I get a kick out of it. I laugh every time.

Don't judge me for the song tacey is singing here, "Low"
She "thinks" she knows the words. I love her and her singing.
I think she is just the cutest thing ever.

*After Rhett watched that video of Tacey he asked me if she was saying "i have to go poop." Well in case you were wondering she is actually saying "i have to go home" (her pretend baby was crying of course)
nobody probably cares, but i just wanted to throw that in there. (:

Looking through my blog I realize I am one of those super annoying people that only really blog about their kids. Can you blame though, they are so freakin cute!

Tuesday

my little valentines

my prints are ordered and i can't even wait to get these up on my walls!!

thanks for the pictures whit!
i love, love, love them!!

Wednesday

My Sweet Grandpa

I know I just posted this picture on facebook so you have all probably seen it already but I just love this picture. We just went to see my family for the day last Saturday and it was so much fun. I can't get over how much my little Brybry loves Grandpa Cliff. The second she sees him her face just lights up and she yells GRANDPA! The best part about being around Grandpa Cliff is he is basically the only one that can get her to calm down when she is throwing one of her terrible two tantrums. She just sits quietly and contently on his lap. Dang I wish I still lived next door to my grandpa! I think I know why Bry loves my grandpa so much, it's cause he is so dang AMAZING. Seriously, he is the best man I know. I love that I have him in my life and it just melts my heart every time I see the special bond they have.

Monday

Happy Birthday Brylee!!!

My little Bry turned TWO right before Christmas (Dec 22). It is soo crazy to me. It terrifies me how quickly time goes by. I feel so blessed to be Brylee's mom. I LOVE how she makes me smile everyday.  She is the sweetest little stinker you will ever meet.

Rhett and I decided not to do a big party this year. But it ended up being such a fun day.

Brylee woke up to a picture from her daddy. That really made her smile(:

She had decided that purple was her favorite color that week. So I made her purple cream of wheat. The girls thought that was so fun.

I honestly have no idea how this happened.

Rhett's family was in town so later that night we met up at Dairy Queen to celebrate.
Rhett picked out this adorable cake! It was an ice cream cake and it was so dang good.

After Dairy Queen Tacey and I headed out to Walmart cause Tacey wanted to pick out a present for Brylee.
Brylee's favorite movie is Beast (Beauty and the Beast). So Tacey picked out a Beauty and the Beast toy. Brylee was in heaven. She didn't put it down for days.

And I had to throw this picture in of Brylee asleep on the stairs. haha, she cracks me up.

Wednesday

~Brylee is 18 Months~

This my friends is why I quit breastfeeding her early. Do you see what she does to this bottle??!! She sucks the living life out of her bottles and binkies. This picture was taken an hour after she got done drinking her milk, the drop-in is sucked up into the nipple. It cracks me up every time I have to take these bottles apart.

I do not choose to still put her in this infant carseat, that is all her. She plays in that thing all day long. She cracks me up, she used to HATE this thing. We still use it occassionaly when we ride in Rhett's pick up or something.

Holy Cow, where does the time go? I remember when Tacey was 18 months, she seemed like such a big girl to me. But Brylee still seems like our little baby. I have been trying my hardest to just enjoy her as a baby. I don't want to make any promises, but there is a good chance Brylee might be our last baby, so I seem to get a bit more emotional with these milestones this time around. Luckily Brylee plays along and makes me happy, she is so good to let me wrap her up in her blanky and rock her. I love every second of it.

Brylee has picked up on so many words and phrases, it still amazes me everytime I hear her talk. She says way too many cute things to list them all but these are some of my favorites.
-In the morning she is usually the first to wake me up, she yells from her crib: "MOM! MOM! I WANT OUT! haha, I always wake up laughing.
-Whenever she is done eating she says: "Done. I want down."
-"outside" is by far her favorite word. All day long that is all I hear.
-"shoes"
-"owey" If Tacey or anybody else has an owey, so does brylee, and always in the exact same spot.
-"wee" that is what she is constantly saying in the car or going down the slide. She sounds just like that commercial with the pig hangin it's head out the car window yelling wee. I think of that every time.
-another thing I hear all day long is "mama, mama, mama, where's daddy?" I will answer her with "at work." she will smile at me and then repeats the question. We go through this about a million times a day.
-she calls Tacey "Teecee"
- "LETS GO"
-she smiles at everyone we see and says "hi" "bye" and waves. I've seen her make a million grumpy lookin people smile. (:

She has her 3 beloved "wawa's" still. (blanky, binky, bottle) She can say all three of those words but for some reason they are called wawa's at our house.
I have been really lucky with both my girls to be able to communicate with them so well when they are so young. Tacey wasn't talking as much at this age as Brylee is now, but she was so good at communicating with sign language. She knew all the signs better than Rhett and I did. But Brylee on the other hand is talking so well but is not interested at all in sign language. She is familiar with it and knows what a lot of the signs are, but she would honestly just rather learn to say the word then to do the sign. Either way I am just happy to be able to communicate. It is nice when they reach the age where they can tell you what they need and you aren't having to constantly guess.

If you haven't noticed Brylee is still completely bald. Well to be fair she still "looks" completely bald. A few hairs have sprouted in the past few months. I have actually been a fan of the bald head, headbands still look so dang cute on her and I know it will be so crazy trying to get ready when I am having to do mine, Tacey's, and Brylee's hair. Plus her bald head makes her seem so baby still, I can still rub baby lotion all over her head, which I LOVE.

I also have to say what a STINKER this little one is. She smacks, hits, punches, does the EXACT OPPOSITE of what I ask her to do, and she does this all with a freakin cute smile on her face. She is the hardest child to punish cause she is still my "smiley brylee."
Love You Baby Girl

Friday

Brylee's Party

Brylee's Birthday was so much fun. We had lots of family drive such a long ways to come and visit, it was so fun to see everyone. Thanks to everyone who came! Brylee loved all the attention and was so spoiled.
On another note, Brylee had her 12 month check up this week. It really was not a very fun appointment, she had 5 shots, I swear it is as painful for me as it is for her, ugh. But it's always fun to see how much she has grown. Her new stats are:
HT: 27.5" 10th percentile
WT: 19 lbs 10 oz 20th percentile
Haha, I was starting to think that she looked tall, but it looks like she is a bit of a shorty.
While we were out of town everyone around us seemed to be sick, so when the girls came down with a cold I wasn't too surprised. Except for that after their colds went away they had this rash all of a sudden show up. So at Bry's check up I showed the DR. Turns out they had a strain of strep not colds, which turned to into scarlet fever(which is where the rash came from). So crazy, I didn't even know people got that anymore. And they weren't even that sick, it was the weirdest thing.

Well, here are some pics from Brylee's party!!
